A Story Woven with Gold and Tradition
Aurora handcrafted was born from a sense of wonder, one inspired by a rare and radiant material: capim dourado, also known as the “golden grass of Brazil.” This naturally golden plant fiber grows in the Jalapão savanna, deep in the heart of Brazil. Used for generations by local artisan communities, capim dourado is much more than a raw material—it is the thread of a living cultural heritage.

The Values That Guide Us
At Aurora handcrafted, we uphold a vision of craftsmanship that honors both people and the planet:
-
Respect for nature: Capim dourado is hand-harvested in a sustainable way, only during the authorized season, in order to protect local ecosystems.
-
Celebration of manual craftsmanship: Each piece is unique, the result of slow, meticulous work deeply rooted in local tradition.
-
Preservation of ancestral art: By working hand in hand with artisans, we help safeguard a precious know-how that is increasingly threatened by mass production.
-
Fair and equitable compensation: We are committed to ensuring fair pay for the artisans we collaborate with, building long-term, transparent, and respectful partnerships.
An Ancestral Craftsmanship
Every piece we offer—whether jewelry, home décor, or tableware—is entirely handcrafted by Brazilian artisans. Their technique, passed down through generations, blends precision, patience, and a deep respect for nature. Working with capim dourado requires an intimate knowledge of the plant—its rhythm, its flexibility—and a skill that can only be acquired over time.
We believe that each creation tells a human story—woven from deliberate gestures, preserved traditions, and a profound connection to the land

A Bridge Between Worlds
Aurora handcrafted aims to be a bridge—between Brazil and the rest of the world, between the gestures of the past and the design of today. By choosing our creations, you support a fairer economy, help preserve a rare art form, and carry a piece of the Jalapão’s golden light with you.
